Technology

CMOS device; 63.000 transistors on a chip 5.5 mm by 6.3 mm; the V25 has a 16-bit internal bus and an 8-bit external bus; complete software compatibility with V20 to V50 microprocessors; for realtime applications the V25 can be used in conjunction with a realtime kernel for task and interrupt management; in operation the V25 can address 1 Mbyte of memory and 64 Kbyte I/O space; also available on-chip is a 256-byte RAM for CPU registers and a 256-byte RAM to allocate/define special function registers;
